I don't need to tell you how lucky we are to live in Montana. I also shouldn't need to tell you how increasingly challenging it is for many folks to afford living here, nor about how our public lands are under attack. I don't see these concerns being meaningfully addressed by our representatives; I'm going to change that.
Cost of living, property values, and healthcare costs continue to climb in Northwest Montana and elsewhere. We can't let longtime residents and our youth (our family, friends, and neighbors!) be pushed out by continued irresponsible development.
Our shared inheritance is under attack. Threats come from greedy out-of-state corporations, climatic changes that are increasingly obvious, and too many places in between. We must promote sustainable management and ecological integrity of our living landscape: our home.
The resources we invest in our youth shape the long term future of Montana. I want that future to be a prosperous one, which is why I support funding and improving our public school systems.
The Flathead Valley's transportation infrastructure is falling behind. Our lack of public transit and multi-use paths makes our streets dangerous and inaccessible for motorists and pedestrians alike.
